No-Bake Chocolate Cream Dessert
Ingredients
Base
ladyfinger biscuits (whole)
200 g
Cream
milk (cold)
1000 ml
granulated sugar (dry)
180 g
all-purpose flour (dry)
5 tbsp
cornstarch (dry)
5 tbsp
vanilla extract (liquid)
1 tbsp
egg yolk (raw)
1 piece
heavy cream (cold)
200 ml
Ganache
heavy cream (cold)
200 ml
dark chocolate (chopped)
180 g
Instructions
Prepare the cream base
Combine milk, sugar, flour, cornstarch, vanilla extract and egg yolk in a saucepan.
Cook the custard
Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
Finish the cream
Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream.
Make the ganache
Heat the cream, pour over chopped chocolate and stir until smooth.
Assemble the dessert
Line a 22x28 cm baking dish with ladyfingers, spread half the cream, add another layer of biscuits, remaining cream and top with ganache.
Chill the dessert
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until set.
