New York Style Pizza

Instructions
Make the dough
Mix flour, yeast, salt, water and olive oil in a large bowl to form a dough.
Knead the dough
Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
Rest the dough
Place the dough in a bowl, cover and let it rise until doubled in size.
Prepare the sauce
Mix tomato sauce with minced garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to the highest setting, ideally 250°C, with a baking steel or pizza stone inside.
Shape the dough
Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces, shape each into a ball and stretch into a 30 cm round.
Assemble the pizza
Spread sauce evenly over the dough, add mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Bake the pizza
Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
Finish and serve
Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
