Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water and let sit until foamy.

Mix the dough

Combine flour, salt, melted butter, and yeast mixture to form dough.

Let dough rest

Cover and let dough rise until doubled in size.

Divide dough into 8 pieces, roll into ropes, and shape into pretzels.
