A loaded patty melt featuring caramelized onions, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar and swiss cheese between buttery griddled sourdough bread.

mayonnaise

ketchup

mustard

Bread

Instructions
Prepare the burger sauce
Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl until well combined.
Caramelize the onions
Slice onions and cook them in a pan over medium-low heat until golden and caramelized.
Cook the bacon
Cook bacon in a pan until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
Form and cook the patties
Divide ground beef into 4 patties and cook on a griddle or pan until browned.
Assemble the patty melts
Butter bread slices, layer with cheese, patty, caramelized onions, bacon, more cheese, and top with second slice. Grill until golden.
Serve immediately
Cut sandwiches in half and serve hot with burger sauce on the side.
