Preheat oven and prepare pans

Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease and flour two 23cm round cake pans.

Mix dry ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and shortening until light and fluffy.
