Apple Pie Inspired Cookies

Apple Filling
apple (finely chopped)

maple syrup

honey
1 tbsp

Instructions
Prepare the apple filling
Cook the apples with maple syrup, honey, cinnamon, and a splash of water until soft and caramelized.
Cream the butter and sweeteners
Mix softened butter with honey and maple syrup until creamy and well combined.
Add dry ingredients
Gradually mix in the self-rising flour, cinnamon, salt, and oat milk to form a soft cookie dough.
Shape and fill the cookies
Form small balls of dough, create an indent in each, and fill with the prepared apple mixture.
Bake the cookies
Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown around the edges.
