Instructions
Prepare Ingredients
Gather and measure all ingredients for the cookie dough and filling.
Cream Butter and Sugars
Beat softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
Add Egg and Vanilla
Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Chill the Dough
Wrap the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 180°C and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Shape Cookies
Roll the dough into 2 cm balls and place them 5 cm apart on the baking sheet.
Bake Cookies
Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are still slightly soft.
Cool Cookies
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Make Cream Filling
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla.
Assemble Oreo Cookies
Spread or pipe cream filling onto the flat side of half the cookies, then top with remaining cookies.
