A delicious twist on the classic burger that combines the best of both worlds - juicy beef patty nestled between two slices of melted cheddar cheese, all grilled between buttery toasted buns.

Instructions
Prepare burger patties
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties slightly larger than the buns.
Prepare buns
Split burger buns and spread butter on the cut sides.
Cook the burgers
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
Add cheese
Place 2 slices of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
Toast the buns
Place buttered buns cut-side down on the hot griddle for 1-2 minutes until golden and crispy.
Assemble burgers
Place each cheesy patty on the bottom bun and top with the other half. Serve immediately.
