Instructions
Cream the butter and sugars
In a large bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
Combine dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
Mix dry into wet ingredients
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips
Gently fold chocolate chips into the cookie dough until evenly distributed.
Chill the dough
Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Scoop and bake
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing 5 cm apart.
Cool and serve
Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
