Instructions
Prepare ingredients
Dice onion, mince garlic, cut salmon into bite-size pieces and measure all spices.
Cook pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente according to package directions.
Season salmon
In a small bowl combine paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt and pepper. Rub seasoning evenly over salmon pieces.
Sear salmon
Heat sunflower oil and butter in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add seasoned salmon and sear 2-3 minutes per side until golden and just cooked through. Remove to a plate.
Sauté aromatics
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add diced onion and cook 3 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
Make creamy Cajun sauce
Pour in heavy cream and remaining Cajun seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring often, 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in grated parmesan until melted.
Combine pasta and salmon
Add drained pasta and seared salmon back to the pan. Toss gently to coat everything in the creamy sauce. Heat through 1 minute.
Serve immediately
Divide pasta among plates and serve hot.
