Instructions
Cream butter and sugars
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
Combine dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Combine wet and dry ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips
Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Scoop and chill dough
Scoop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill for 30 minutes.
Bake cookies
Preheat oven to 190°C and bake cookies for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
Cool and serve
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
