Instructions

Marinate the chicken

Combine chicken pieces with bouillon powder, white pepper and water. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare the batter

In a bowl, beat eggs then add flour, corn starch, baking powder, salt, water and oil. Whisk until smooth.

Coat chicken in batter

Dip marinated chicken pieces into the batter, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.

Fry the chicken

Heat oil in a wok or deep pan. Fry battered chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Prepare the sauce

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, ketchup, honey, sugar, water, minced garlic and sesame oil. Stir well.

Prepare thickener

Mix corn starch with water until smooth.

Combine chicken with sauce

Return fried chicken to wok, pour sauce over and bring to a simmer. Add thickener and stir until sauce thickens and coats chicken evenly.

Garnish and serve

Transfer to serving plate and garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Reheat: Microwave 2-3 minutes or skillet on medium heat
