Homemade Strawberry Soda
A refreshing, naturally flavored strawberry soda made with homemade syrup and sparkling water—perfect for hot summer days.

Strawberry Syrup
fresh strawberries (hulled, quartered)
500 g
granulated sugar
200 g
water

lemon juice

sparkling water (chilled)

Instructions
Prepare strawberries
Wash, hull and quarter the strawberries.
Cook the syrup
Combine strawberries, sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for 10 minutes until berries are soft and syrup is thickened.
Strain the syrup
Remove from heat and strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve, pressing the berries to extract all the juice. Discard solids and let syrup cool completely.
Assemble the soda
Fill glasses with ice, add 60 ml strawberry syrup per serving, top with chilled sparkling water and stir gently. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.

Store syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake before use.
