Chocolate Chip Cookies

Instructions
Cream butter and sugars
Beat the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla
Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
Combine dry ingredients
Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
Mix dry ingredients into wet
Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips
Gently stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Chill the dough
Cover and refrigerate the dough for 15–30 minutes for best texture.
Preheat oven
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
Scoop and shape cookies
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them 5 cm apart.
Bake the cookies
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
Cool and serve
Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
