Creamy Garlic Steak Pasta

Garlic Butter Steak
steak (room_temperature)

Instructions
Prepare the steak
Pat steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cook the steak
Heat olive oil in a hot pan and sear steak 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
Make garlic butter
Add butter and minced garlic to the same pan, basting the steak for 1-2 minutes.
Rest the steak
Remove steak from pan and let rest while preparing the pasta sauce.
Cook the pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
Prepare the creamy sauce
In the same pan used for steak, melt butter and sauté remaining garlic until fragrant.
Add cream and cheese
Pour in heavy cream, bring to gentle simmer, then gradually whisk in parmesan until smooth and creamy.
Combine pasta and sauce
Add drained pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Slice steak and serve
Slice rested steak against the grain and serve over creamy pasta. Garnish with extra parmesan if desired.
