Classic Southern peach cobbler with cinnamon-spiced filling

Instructions
Prepare the peaches
Wash, peel and slice the peaches into wedges.
Make the peach filling
Mix sliced peaches with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch and cinnamon until evenly coated.
Prepare the biscuit topping
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Stir in melted butter and milk until just combined.
Assemble the cobbler
Pour peach filling into baking dish, then drop spoonfuls of biscuit topping over the fruit.
Bake the cobbler
Bake in preheated oven until topping is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
Rest before serving
Let the cobbler rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.
