Prepare the dough

Combine all dough ingredients and knead until soft and smooth.

Rest the dough

Cover the dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes to make rolling easier.

Divide and shape the dough

Divide the rested dough into 10-12 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.

Roll out the flatbreads

Roll each ball into a thin round on a floured surface. Shake off excess flour before cooking.

Cook the flatbreads

Cook each flatbread in a preheated pan, turning frequently until lightly spotted with color. Do not overcook.

Stack cooked flatbreads between clean kitchen towels to keep them soft.

Heat oil in a wide pan, sauté the onions until translucent, then add the ground beef and break up any lumps.
