Instructions
Preheat and prepare skillet
Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a small cast iron skillet or oven-safe dish.
Mix wet ingredients
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Add dry ingredients
Add all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined into a soft dough.
Add chocolate chips
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Bake the skillet cookie
Transfer the dough to the prepared skillet and spread evenly. Bake for 15–18 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center is still slightly soft.
Cool and serve
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving directly from the skillet. Enjoy warm with ice cream if desired.
