Preheat and prepare pan

Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a 23x13 cm loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

Mash bananas

In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until mostly smooth with some small chunks remaining.

Mix wet ingredients

Add melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined.

Add dry ingredients

Sprinkle flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt over the wet mixture. Gently fold until just combined. Do not overmix.

Bake the bread

Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake at 175°C for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and serve

Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
