Instructions
Prepare ingredients
Measure all ingredients and soften butter if needed.
Cream butter and sugars
Mix softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Add dry ingredients
Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips
Gently stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Portion dough
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake cookies
Bake at 190°C for 12 minutes until edges are golden.
Cool cookies
Let cookies rest on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
