3-Ingredient Watermelon Sorbet
This refreshing summer treat uses just three ingredients and requires no ice cream maker, creating a light and creamy frozen dessert perfect for hot days.
Equipment
Ingredients
Ingredients
seedless watermelon (cubed, frozen)
1400 g
liquid sweetener (room temperature)
80 ml
fresh lime juice (freshly squeezed)
30 ml
kosher salt
1.5 g
Instructions
Prepare baking sheet and freeze watermelon
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Spread the cubed watermelon on the baking sheet.
Freeze watermelon until solid
Freeze the watermelon cubes until completely solid, about 3 hours.
Process frozen watermelon
Process the frozen watermelon, liquid sweetener, lime juice, and salt in a food processor or high-speed blender until the bottom becomes smooth and the top remains chunky, about 1 minute.
Scrape and continue processing
Stop, scrape down the sides, and stir. Process again until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed, 4 to 6 minutes more.
Serve immediately or freeze for firmer texture
Serve immediately for a soft-serve consistency, or transfer to an airtight container or loaf pan, press a sheet of parchment paper onto the surface, and freeze until solid, at least 3 hours.
Storage
Store in an airtight container with parchment paper pressed on surface to prevent ice crystals
