Instructions
Prepare the dough
Take the pizza dough out of the fridge and let it rest at room temperature for 10 minutes to make it easier to stretch.
Make the tomato sauce
In a bowl, combine crushed San Marzano tomatoes, minced garlic, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 250°C (480°F) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to get a crispy crust.
Shape the pizza dough
On a lightly floured surface, stretch the dough into a 30cm round. Transfer to parchment paper or a floured pizza peel.
Add the sauce
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1cm border around the edges.
Add the cheese
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce, then add grated Parmesan.
Add the pepperoni
Arrange pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
Bake the pizza
Slide the pizza into the hot oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve
Remove from oven, let cool for 2 minutes, slice and serve hot.
