Caramelize the onions

Slice onions and slowly cook them in butter until deep golden and sweet.

Add garlic and deglaze

Mince garlic, add to onions, then pour in red wine to deglaze the pot.

Add herbs and broth

Add thyme, bay leaf, beef broth, chicken broth and worcestershire sauce. Simmer to develop flavor.

Prepare bread and cheese

Slice baguette, toast lightly, grate gruyere and mozzarella.
