Dr Pepper Dot Cake

Cake Batter
all-purpose flour (dry)
250 g
granulated sugar (dry)
200 g
baking soda (dry)
5 g
baking powder (dry)
10 g
cocoa powder (dry)
30 g
salt (dry)
3 g
milk (liquid)
120 ml
vegetable oil (liquid)
60 ml
egg (whole)

Dr Pepper (liquid)
240 ml
Frosting
butter (soft)
115 g
powdered sugar (dry)
240 g
Dr Pepper (liquid)
30 ml
vanilla extract (liquid)
5 ml
Instructions
Preheat oven
Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare a baking dish.
Mix dry ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt.
Mix wet ingredients
Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs and Dr Pepper to the dry mixture. Stir until smooth.
Bake the cake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Cool the cake
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Make frosting
Beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, Dr Pepper and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
Frost the cake
Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled cake. Decorate with dots if desired.
