Grilled Sardines with Bell Pepper Salad
Ingredients
Sardines
fresh sardines (fresh)

Bell Pepper Salad
bell peppers (whole)

onion (whole)

extra virgin olive oil
60 ml
vinegar
30 ml
coarse salt

Instructions
Prepare the bell peppers
Wash and cut the bell peppers into strips or slices.
Slice the onion
Peel and thinly slice the onion.
Make the pepper salad
Combine sliced peppers and onion in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper. Mix well.
Prepare the grill
Heat the grill or barbecue with charcoal until very hot.
Season the sardines
Sprinkle the fresh sardines generously with coarse salt on both sides.
Grill the sardines
Place the sardines on the hot grill. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side until the skin is crispy and the flesh is cooked through.
Serve
Serve the grilled sardines hot with the bell pepper salad on the side.
