Crispy Mozzarella Sticks with Hot Honey

Hot Honey Sauce
honey

Instructions
Prepare seasoned flour
Whisk together flour and all spices in a bowl, then transfer to a shallow dish for dredging.
Set up breading station
Place breadcrumbs in a second shallow dish. Beat eggs in a third dish until smooth.
Cut the cheese
Cut mozzarella block into thick slabs or sticks suitable for breading.
Bread the mozzarella
Dredge each piece in seasoned flour, dip in egg, coat again in flour, dip in egg again, and finish with breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb step for thicker crust if desired.
Freeze the breaded cheese
Place breaded mozzarella on a parchment-lined tray and freeze until firm.
Prepare hot honey sauce
Mix honey, paprika, and hot sauce in a small bowl until combined.
Fry the mozzarella sticks
Heat oil to 175°C and fry the mozzarella in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
Drain and coat with hot honey
Remove fried sticks to a wire rack, let rest briefly, then drizzle or toss in hot honey mixture.
Serve immediately
Serve the crispy, melty, sweet-and-spicy mozzarella bites right away.
