Chocolate Cake

Cake Layers
all-purpose flour (sifted)

cocoa powder

granulated sugar

baking powder

baking soda

salt

180 ml
sunflower oil
80 ml
vanilla extract

Chocolate Ganache
dark chocolate
150 g
heavy cream
150 ml
Instructions
Prepare pans and preheat oven
Preheat oven to 180°C and grease two 20 cm cake pans with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients
In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Combine wet ingredients
In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine wet and dry
Gradually add wet mixture to dry ingredients and stir until batter is smooth and uniform.
Bake cake layers
Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool layers
Remove cakes from oven and let cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Make chocolate ganache
Heat cream until just simmering, pour over chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth and glossy.
Assemble and frost cake
Place one cake layer on a plate, spread ganache, add second layer, and cover entire cake with remaining ganache.
