Melt butter over medium-low heat and add onions with brown sugar and salt to caramelize.

Mix garlic butter ingredients and simmer au jus ingredients together.

Warm the shaved roast beef in the hot au jus.

Slice the loaf, spread with garlic butter, top with beef, caramelized onions and provolone.
