Preheat oven and prepare ramekin

Preheat oven to 220°C and grease a 200ml ramekin with butter and dust with cocoa powder.

Melt chocolate and butter

Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave.

Whisk the eggs and granulated sugar together until pale and slightly thickened.

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and whisk until smooth.
