Instructions

1

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C to prepare for baking.

5 min180°C
2

Mash bananas

Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.

2 min
Use a fork or potato masher for easier mashing
3

Mix dry ingredients

Add oats, protein powder, cinnamon, ground ginger, baking powder, grated carrot, and walnuts to the mashed bananas.

3 min
Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution of spices
4

Add liquid

Pour in the water (or milk) and stir until well combined into a thick batter.

2 min
Batter should be thick but pourable - add a splash more water if too thick
5

Prepare baking dish

Transfer the batter to an oven-safe dish, spreading evenly.

1 min
Lightly grease the dish or line with parchment for easy removal
6

Bake the oats

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-35 minutes until golden on top and set in the middle.

Check at 25 minutes - oats are done when a toothpick comes out clean from the center
7

Prepare chocolate ganache

Mix cocoa powder with maple syrup and gradually add boiling water until a smooth ganache-like texture forms.

3 min
Add water slowly - too much will make it runny
8

Assemble and serve

Spread the chocolate ganache over the baked oats, cut into slices, and serve. Optional: drizzle with peanut butter.

2 min
Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts
