Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Instructions
Cream butter and sugars
Beat softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla
Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
Combine dry ingredients
Whisk flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
Combine wet and dry
Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips
Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Scoop and bake
Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets and bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes until golden around edges.
Cool and serve
Let cookies rest on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
