Instructions
Boil the pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Prepare the sauce base
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced onion, sauté until fragrant and translucent.
Simmer the sauce
Add tomato sauce to the pan with garlic and onion. Stir and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Combine pasta and sauce
Drain the cooked pasta and add it directly to the sauce. Toss well to coat evenly.
Serve
Plate the pasta and garnish with grated parmesan and fresh basil leaves.
