Instructions
Cut the cheese
Cut the mozzarella into about ½-inch sticks or squares.
Set up breading station
Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs (add a few dashes of hot sauce for extra flavor), and one with breadcrumbs.
Bread the mozzarella sticks
Coat each stick in this order: Flour → Egg → Breadcrumbs → Egg → Breadcrumbs. This double coating seals the cheese so it doesn’t ooze out while cooking.
Freeze the sticks
Place the breaded sticks in the freezer for 30–60 minutes so they stay sturdy during air frying.
Preheat air fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 190°C.
Air fry the sticks
Lightly spray the frozen sticks with oil. Cook for 10–14 minutes until golden and crispy.
Make the Nashville hot sauce
Whisk hot sauce, olive oil, cayenne, garlic powder, salt, chili powder, and brown sugar together. Microwave for 15 seconds to bloom the seasonings.
Sauce and serve
Brush the hot sauce over the freshly fried mozzarella sticks while they are still hot. Serve immediately for the perfect cheese pull.

Storage
Best enjoyed fresh. Reheat in air fryer to restore crispiness. Do not microwave as cheese may become rubbery.
