Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate Cookies

all-purpose flour

brown sugar

milk chocolate (chopped)

Salted Caramel
granulated sugar
100 g
butter
60 g
heavy cream
120 ml
flaky sea salt

Instructions
Prepare the salted caramel
Cook sugar in a saucepan until amber, then add butter and cream to create a smooth caramel. Finish with flaky salt.
Cream the butter and sugars
Beat softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla
Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Combine dry ingredients
Mix flour, baking soda and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture.
Fold in chocolate and caramel
Gently fold chopped milk chocolate and cooled salted caramel into the cookie dough.
Scoop and chill the dough
Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes.
Bake the cookies
Bake at 180°C until edges are golden and centers still soft.
Cool and serve
Cool cookies on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
