Spaghetti Bolognese

beef broth

Instructions
Prepare vegetables
Dice the onion, carrot and celery. Mince the garlic.
Sauté vegetables
Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the onion, carrot and celery for 5 minutes until softened.
Add garlic
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Brown the meat
Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned.
Add sauce and simmer
Pour in the tomato sauce and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Cook the pasta
Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
Combine and serve
Drain the pasta and toss with the Bolognese sauce. Serve with grated parmesan if desired.
