butter (cold)

Preheat oven

Heat the oven to 175°C and spray a 23x33 cm baking dish.

Add apple filling

Dump in 2 cans apple pie filling and spread it flat across the baking dish.

Add cookie topping

Pour 1 pouch oatmeal cookie mix straight from the bag over the top and spread it to the edges. Do not stir.

Add butter pats

Slice 170g cold butter into thin pats and lay them over the whole top, including corners.

Bake the crisp

Bake uncovered at 175°C for 45 minutes, until the top is golden and the apples are bubbling at the sides.

Let it sit for 10 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
