Prepare ingredients

Wash and chop the broccoli into small florets. Mince the garlic cloves. Measure out the spinach.

Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the whole wheat pasta according to package directions until al dente.

Sauté vegetables

While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add broccoli and spinach

Add the broccoli florets to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften. Then add the spinach and cook until wilted.

Combine and serve

Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the pan with the vegetables. Toss everything together. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot with grated parmesan on top.
