Instructions
Prepare frozen Nutella pieces
Drop small spoonfuls of Nutella onto a lined tray and freeze until solid.
Cream butter and sugars
Beat butter with both sugars until creamy, then mix in the egg and vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together.
Combine wet and dry ingredients
Stir the dry mixture into the wet mixture to form a dough, then fold in chocolate chips.
Chill the dough
Chill the dough briefly if it feels too soft to handle.
Prepare baking pan
Grease a 9-inch round pan and preheat oven to 175°C.
Form stuffed dough balls
Take portions of dough, flatten them, place a frozen Nutella piece in the center, and seal into balls.
Arrange in pan
Arrange the filled dough balls in the greased pan, slightly spaced apart.
Freeze before baking
Place the filled dough balls in the freezer for 15-30 minutes before baking.
Bake the pie
Bake for 12-20 minutes, depending on how gooey you want the center.
Finish and serve
Add extra chocolate chips on top right after baking if desired, then let cool slightly before serving.
