Prepare vegetables

Finely chop onion and ensure spinach is chopped. Grate or crumble the paneer.

Mix dry ingredients

In a large bowl combine chickpea flour, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and turmeric.

Add vegetables and water

Add chopped spinach, sweet corn, paneer and water to the dry mixture. Stir until a thick batter forms.

Batter should be thick enough to spread but not runny

Heat pan and cook cheela

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with oil. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread into a thin circle.

Flip and finish cooking

When the edges start to lift and the bottom is golden, flip the cheela and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes until fully cooked.

Repeat with remaining batter. Serve hot with yogurt, chutney or ketchup.
