Burger Sauce
mayonnaise
175 ml
ketchup
80 ml
mustard
4 ml
worcestershire sauce
7.5 ml
pickle juice
7.5 ml
smoked paprika
0.5 tsp
garlic powder
0.5 tsp
onion powder
0.5 tsp
Instructions
Slice the onion
Thinly slice the onion using a mandoline or sharp knife.
Form meat balls
Divide the ground beef into 4 oz balls.
Prepare burger sauce
Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pickle juice, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
Heat the pan
Heat a cast iron or stainless steel pan on medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes until hot.
Place meat balls on pan
Place the meat balls on the hot pan and season generously with salt and pepper.
Smash the burgers
Add a small handful of sliced onions on top of each meat ball, then smash down hard with a spatula to create thin patties.
Flip the burgers
After 2 minutes, scrape and flip the patties over.
Add cheese and buns
Place cheese on each patty, then add the top bun first, followed by the bottom bun on top of the cheese.
Assemble the burgers
Once the cheese is melted, remove from heat and assemble each burger with pickles and prepared sauce.
