Ingredients

Main Ingredients

mozzarella cheese (block)

300 g

all-purpose flour

100 g

eggs

2 pcs

breadcrumbs

150 g

olive oil

500 ml

cayenne pepper

2 tsp

smoked paprika

1 tbsp

garlic powder

1 tsp

onion powder

1 tsp

salt

1 tsp

black pepper

0.5 tsp

Instructions

1

Prepare the cheese sticks

Cut mozzarella into sticks about 8 cm long and 1.5 cm thick.

2

Set up the breading station

Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with seasoned breadcrumbs mixed with cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3

Bread the mozzarella sticks

Coat each mozzarella stick first in flour, then in egg, then in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb step for an extra crispy coating.

4

Chill the breaded sticks

Place the breaded mozzarella sticks on a tray and freeze for 15 minutes to help the coating stay intact during frying.

5

Heat the oil

Heat olive oil in a deep pan or pot to 180°C. The oil should be hot enough for frying but not smoking.
