Instructions
Prepare aromatics
Heat oil and butter in a large pot, then sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
Brown the beef
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
Add tomato paste and spices
Stir in tomato paste and all the spices, cooking for 1 minute to develop flavors.
Add liquids and tomatoes
Pour in blended tomatoes, cream cheese, cream, milk, chicken broth, and water.
Simmer the soup
Bring the soup to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add lasagna sheets
Break lasagna sheets into pieces and add to the soup, stirring to prevent sticking.
Cook pasta
Cook the lasagna sheets in the soup for 12-15 minutes until al dente.
Finish with cheese
Stir in mozzarella cheese until melted, then serve hot.
