Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente.

Prepare the salmon

Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.

Sear the salmon

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add salmon pieces and cook until golden on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.

Don't move the salmon too much to get a nice crust

Make the sauce

In the same pan, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add cream, lemon zest and lemon juice. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Combine and finish

Add cooked pasta and parmesan to the sauce. Toss everything together until pasta is well coated. Add salmon back to the pan and gently mix.

Divide between plates and garnish with extra parmesan and lemon zest if desired.
