Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish Pastries

Pastry Base
Puff pastry

Cream Cheese Filling
Cream cheese
170 g
Powdered sugar
60 g
Vanilla extract

Topping & Glaze
Egg
1 piece
Granulated sugar
15 g
Powdered sugar
40 g
Milk
15 ml
Strawberries
150 g
Instructions
Prepare cream cheese filling
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Prepare puff pastry squares
Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares. Cut a smaller square in the center of each.
Fill the pastries
Pipe cream cheese mixture into the center square and place sliced strawberries on top.
Apply egg wash
Mix egg with sugar to make egg wash and brush along the edges of each pastry.
Bake the pastries
Bake at 200°C for 10 minutes until golden brown.
Add glaze and serve
Mix powdered sugar with milk to make glaze and drizzle over warm pastries. Enjoy!
