In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and dark chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.

Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.

Add the egg and vanilla extract, whisking until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
