Instructions
Prepare ingredients
Preheat oven to 200°C. Prepare all filling ingredients by dicing ham and shredding mozzarella if needed.
Make marinara dip
Mix tomato sauce with minced garlic, olive oil, and salt. Set aside for serving.
Shape the pizza bombs
Cut pizza dough into 8 equal squares. Add 15ml tomato sauce, 15g mozzarella, and 10g ham to each square. Fold corners to center and seal edges.
Create pumpkin shape
Wrap butcher's twine around each bomb to create 8 segments like a pumpkin. Place a basil leaf on top of each bomb.
Add pumpkin stems
Break pretzels in half and insert one piece into the top of each bomb as a stem. Brush with beaten egg.
Bake the pizza bombs
Place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Serve
Remove twine carefully. Serve hot with marinara dip on the side.
