Candy Coating

gold edible glitter

green apples (washed, dried)

Instructions
Prepare apples
Wash and thoroughly dry the apples. Insert a stick into each apple for easy dipping.
Combine candy ingredients
In a heavy pot, combine granulated sugar, glucose syrup, and water.
Cook candy mixture
Heat over medium-low heat without stirring until large, slow bubbles appear and the mixture reaches 150°C (hard crack stage).
Add gold glitter
Remove from heat and gently fold in gold edible glitter with minimal stirring to avoid creating air bubbles.
Coat the apples
Quickly dip each apple into the hot candy mixture, rotating to coat evenly. Allow excess to drip off.
Cool and decorate
Place coated apples on parchment paper to cool completely. Once cool, sprinkle with additional gold glitter or edible gold dust for extra shine.
