Prepare the milk mixture

Combine milk, sugar, and butter in a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.

Add flour and cook the dough

Gradually add flour while stirring continuously until the mixture forms a smooth dough that pulls away from the sides.

Cool and add egg

Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then beat in the egg and vanilla until smooth and glossy.

Shape the balls

Using oiled hands or a small scoop, form small balls about 2cm in diameter and place on a lined baking sheet.
