Prepare garlic
Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely.

Cook pasta with garlic
In a large pot, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Add spaghetti, milk, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked and liquid is mostly absorbed.

Remove from heat, stir in grated parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Serve immediately.
