Ingredients
Ingredients
unsalted butter (melted, cooled)
115 g
light brown sugar
100 g
granulated sugar
67 g
large egg
1 piece
vanilla extract
1 tsp
plain flour
160 g
baking soda
0.5 tsp
salt
1 pinch
milk chocolate chips
100 g
Instructions
Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Combine wet ingredients
In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar.
Add egg and vanilla
Crack in the egg and add vanilla extract. Whisk until fully combined.
Combine wet and dry mixtures
Gradually pour the dry mixture into the wet mixture and gently fold until just combined.
Add chocolate chips
Add chocolate chips and fold gently into the dough.
Scoop cookies onto tray
Scoop 6-8 cookies onto the prepared baking tray, leaving about 5 cm between each cookie.
Bake cookies
Bake for approximately 14 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges. The middle should still look slightly underbaked.
Reshape if needed
If cookies have spread too much or combined together, use a cookie cutter or cup to reshape them while still warm.
Cool cookies
Allow cookies to cool completely on the tray for about an hour before removing to prevent breaking.
